REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY — ART SADEEM (DRAFT)

1. SCOPE
This Policy describes how refunds, returns, and cancellations work on the Art Sadeem marketplace. The Platform may facilitate payments between buyers and sellers; specific rights may depend on the product type (original art, prints, books, tools, digital courses, tickets, etc.).
2. CONSUMER RIGHTS (UAE)
UAE consumer protection laws (including Federal Law No. 15 of 2020 on Consumer Protection, as amended, and related executive regulations) may grant buyers mandatory rights that cannot be waived. Where this Policy offers less protection, the law prevails.
3. ORDER STATUS
3.1 “Pending payment” means checkout has not completed; no final sale is confirmed for seller earnings until payment succeeds.
3.2 “Paid” and later statuses mean the payment has been captured subject to payment-provider rules and fraud checks.
4. PHYSICAL ART & GOODS
4.1 Return windows, who pays return shipping, and restocking rules are set by the seller’s listing disclosure and these terms, within legal minima.
4.2 Original artwork and custom pieces may be non-returnable except where defective, not as described, or where the law requires otherwise — state your default clearly on the listing.
5. DIGITAL PRODUCTS & COURSES
5.1 Digital content may be non-refundable once access is granted, unless required by law or the seller’s stated policy allows a cooling-off period.
5.2 Technical failure preventing access should be remedied by support or a refund/credit as appropriate.
6. CANCELLATION BY BUYER
Before shipment/access: buyers may cancel according to checkout timers and seller policy. After payment, cancellation follows seller policy and legal rights.
7. CANCELLATION BY SELLER
If a seller cannot fulfil, they must cancel promptly; buyers receive a refund of amounts paid for unfulfilled items in line with Platform procedures.
8. DISPUTES & CHARGEBACKS
Buyers should contact support first. Payment network chargeback rules may apply independently. We may share transaction records to resolve disputes.
9. PLATFORM FEES
Refunds may be net of non-refundable payment-processing costs where permitted by law and disclosed at checkout.
